In order to print a color or image, each color that is to be printed has to have a film and a printing plate made. The cost to produce the film and the plate for each color is $95.00. The maximum number of colors that we can print on a cookie is three colors. The background color is only available in white. All of the confectionery inks are custom made for Byrd Cookie Company. We are able to match most PMS colors for companies that want a particular color. If we can print an image for a customer with the inks in our color inventory, there is no cost associated with the inks. If we have to have a custom color ink made the cost is $250.00 per color. The minimum order for a custom printed cookie is 500 cookies. The cookies are packed 36 per case box and are all individually wrapped. We add 4 extra per case to allow for breakage. Suggested retail is $1.99 to $3.49 for each cookie. The shelf life of the cookies is 9 months. Wholesale Pricing: 500 cookies with a one color image $1.50/cookie 500 cookies with a two color image $1.50/cookie 500 cookies with a three color image $1.50/cookie On the initial order we would like to have a four-week lead time. This will allow time for the art to be developed and the film plates to be made. If a custom ink color is required, please allow two more weeks of lead time. Byrd Cookie Company is happy to have our graphics department create or develop images for printed cookies; however there will be a fee for this service. The fee is based upon an hourly rate of $65 per hour. For new wholesale customers of Byrd Cookie Company, a deposit of 50% of the total cost associated with this project is due at the time the order is placed. The balance is due prior to the order being shipped.
